☆☆オウ族の顔の文様

オウ族の顔の文様
タンザニアやナイジェリアなどのあやとりです。
W. A. Cunnington 氏がタンザニア（タンガニカ湖畔）のルング族（Lungu）から採集しました。
J. Parkinson 氏がナイジェリアのヨルバ人（Yöruba）から採集しました。すべてのヨルバ人には顔に文様があり、それはそれぞれの部族特有のものでした。このあやとりはオウ族（Owu）の文様を表しています。[9]
G. Tessmann 氏はパンゲ族（Pangwe: 現在のファン人(Fang)）から「若いシマリス」または「星」として採集しました。[20]
E. M. Smith 氏はコンゴで「魚網」として採集していますが、少し糸の絡み方が異なります。[143-4]
J. Hornell 氏はシエラレオネのテムネ族（Temne）から「下書き板」として採集しました。[49]
  1. 人差指の構え。
  2. すべての指を人差指の輪の中に下から入れ、人差指の輪を手首に落とす。
  3. 左手で右親指向こうと右小指手前の糸をつまみ、右親指と右小指から外す。
  4. 右手を向こうへ１回転ひねる。
  5. 左手で持っている輪を右人差指と右中指に戻す。
  6. 左右を読み替えて3～5を行なう。
  7. 手首の糸を人差指と中指にかける。
  8. 親指で下から中指向こうの２本の糸を押さえる。
  9. 薬指で上から人差指手前の２本の糸を取る。

[70]では次のように始め、最後は中指で取ります。

  1. 人差指と中指に糸をかける。
  2. 人差指と中指の間から甲の糸を引き出し、反対の手首にかける。
  3. 右手で左人差指と左中指の輪をつまみ取り、左手を向こうへ１回転ひねり、つまんでいる輪を元に戻す。
